Ribbons, Blooms & Big Smiles: Meet Our Street Garden Winners

We’re thrilled to share a glimpse of this year’s Portland Street Garden Project winners! These dedicated businesses and community members helped bring color, creativity and local pride to our streets. Clemente Fabian of Fabian’s Pizza displays his award ribbon with his street garden. He won First Place in the Portland Street Garden Project for his creative container garden display.

Kerianne Burchardt of Savvy Swap Consignment and Michelle Engel of Highland Sol Flower Farm collaborated to create a garden sanctuary on Main Street. This garden won the Portland’s Choice Award and third place overall in the Portland Street Garden Project. 

Jen LaFave of BeStronger Personal Training LLC stands with the street garden display that earned Portland’s Choice Award – Runner Up. Dance with Miss Alicia and Inner Circle Martial Arts (not pictured) also contributed to the design. 

Mike and Louise Walsh of Dog Tales Grooming and Pet Care won Second Place in the Portland Street Garden Project.

Debby Carle of Magic Mirror Unisex Salon stands in front of her garden display of various head planters. She won the Most Creative Garden award in the Portland Street Garden Project 2025. 

Matthew Pegolo of PegArch Architecture and Design collaborated with Dominic DiMauro and Kaylee Rugar of Tropical CT (not pictured) to create a tropical street garden in Portland. The garden received the Wow Factor award in the Portland Street Garden Project.
