Upcoming Program: Bats in Connecticut

The Portland River Valley Garden Club is thrilled to host Ginny Apple, a certified CT DEEP Master Wildlife Conservationist, for an eye-opening talk all about bats in Connecticut.

You’ll learn about the different bat species that call our state home, why they’re so important to healthy ecosystems (and to us!), fascinating bat biology and the challenges these amazing creatures face today. Ginny will also share what the CT Wildlife Division is doing to help protect and monitor bat populations.

Don’t miss this chance to learn how we can all play a role in keeping Connecticut’s bats flying strong.
