A Warm Welcome to the Portland Fair

The Portland River Valley Garden Club greeted visitors to this year’s Portland Fair with a burst of fall color and creativity! Our members designed and built a vibrant display called “The Doors of Portland” - seven repurposed doors, each painted in a cheerful autumn hue and decorated with a handmade wreath. Together, the doors spell out WELCOME, setting the perfect tone for fairgoers arriving at the ticket booth.

To complete the look, members contributed a mix of seasonal décor, including pumpkins, mums, hay bales, ferns, and rustic baskets - all arranged to capture the cozy beauty of fall in the country.
