Clemente Fabian of Fabian’s Pizza received first place in the Portland River Valley Garden Club’s 2026 Portland Street Garden Project.

PegArch Architecture and Design and Tropical CT — Second Place Overall
Matthew Pegolo and Kaylee Rugar of PegArch Architecture and Design and Dominic DiMauro of Tropical CT received second place in the Portland River Valley Garden Club’s 2026 Portland Street Garden Project.

Dog Tales Grooming and Pet Care — America’s 250 Award First Place and Third Place Overall
Mike and Louise Walsh of Dog Tales Grooming and Pet Care received two ribbons in the Portland River Valley Garden Club’s 2026 Portland Street Garden Project. They received first place in the special America’s 250 Award category, celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday through a patriotic garden display.

Savvy Swap Consignment and Highland Sol Flower Farm — Portland’s Choice Award
Kerianne Burchardt of Savvy Swap Consignment and Michelle Engel of Highland Sol Flower Farm received the 2026 Portland’s Choice Award, selected by community vote as part of the Portland River Valley Garden Club’s annual Street Garden Project.

Bud’s Cafe — Portland’s Choice Runner-Up
Amy Estabrook of Bud’s Cafe was named runner-up for the 2026 Portland’s Choice Award, selected by community vote as part of the Portland Street Garden Project.

Portland Ale House — Wow Factor
Zachary Olson of Portland Ale House received the Wow Factor Award for the business’s eye-catching entry in the 2026 Portland Street Garden Project.

Magic Mirror Unisex Salon — Most Creative Garden and Whimsy in Bloom Award
Debby Carle of Magic Mirror Unisex Salon received the Most Creative Garden Award and the Whimsy in Bloom Award for the business’s playful garden display in the Portland River Valley Garden Club’s 2026 Portland Street Garden Project.

BeStronger Personal Training, Dance with Miss Alicia and Inner Circle Martial Arts — Best Theme
Jen LaFave from BeStronger Personal Training joined forces with Dance with Miss Alicia and Inner Circle Martial Arts for their street garden. The three businesses received the Best Theme Award for its garden design in the 2026 Portland Street Garden Project.


Connecticut Valley School of Music and Dance — America’s 250 Award Second Place
Connecticut Valley School of Music and Dance received second place in the special America’s 250 Award category, celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday through a patriotic garden display.

Tommy’s Pizza — America’s 250 Award Third Place
Sarah and Billy Caratasios of Tommy’s Pizza received third place in the special America’s 250 Award category, celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday through a patriotic garden display.

SilTec Labs — Marvelous Mix
Leigh Radziwon of SilTec Labs received the Marvelous Mix Award, recognizing the variety of plants used in the business’s 2026 Portland Street Garden Project display.

Winchester Cafe — Pretty Palette
Donna Grabek of Winchester Cafe received the Pretty Palette Award for the business’s colorful display in the 2026 Portland Street Garden Project.

The Wedding Dress — Pretty in Pink Award
Abbie Paklos of The Wedding Dress received the Pretty in Pink Award for the business’s pink-hued display in the 2026 Portland Street Garden Project.

Mike and Katie Cannata of Precise Grading & Earthworks LLC received the Crafted with Care Award for the business’s thoughtfully designed entry in the 2026 Portland Street Garden Project.

Sarah’s on Main — Tiny But Mighty
Sarah and Dan Weeden (not shown) of Sarah’s on Main received the Tiny But Mighty Award for the business’s small but impactful display in the 2026 Portland Street Garden Project.

Blooming Together Award
The Blooming Together Award was presented to Savvy Swap Consignment and Highland Sol Flower Farm, represented by Kerianne Burchardt and Michelle Engel; Dog Tales Grooming and Pet Care, represented by Mike and Louise Walsh; SilTec Labs, represented by Leigh Radziwon (not shown); and Fabian’s Pizza, represented by Clemente Fabian. The award recognizes neighboring businesses whose collective participation and plantings helped beautify their block as part of the Portland River Valley Garden Club’s 2026 Portland Street Garden Project.
